Question 3

What are the parade line-up details?

Accepted Answer

- Send 1 representative to sign to sign-in beginning at 8:30 AM until 9:15 AM to receive line-up number and line-up location where directed on First St. from Union Ave. to Lincoln Ave. All entries should be in place no later than 9:45 AM.

- The judges will be on the South (left) side of the street at Ave. A

- Entry haulers, buses, and vehicles should be parked on the North side of First Street, West of Avenue E.

What are the safety regulations I need to be aware of?

Accepted Answer

Parade Marshals will monitor parade flow and instruct entries to close any gaps. Parade Entries must comply.

Do not THROW candy OR hand it out from any parade vehicle. Candy, flyers or any other item being distributed to crowd must be handed out by going to the edge of the crowd at street side, handing item to an or, in the case of candy, just placing it on the ground.

IMPORTANT: Parade Marshall’s can remove your entry from parade for violating this policy. See KlaHaYa Days Parade Entry Form for clean-up fees related to flyer and candy distribution.

What are the rules related to vehicles in the parade?

- All vehicles must be decorated.

- All entries are limited to no more than 5 vehicles.

What are the judging and award details?

Accepted Answer

All judging stand performances are to be no longer than 1 minute.

Awards will be given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each category immediately following the parade at the judges stand on the South side of 1st St. and Ave. A.
